The Good Neighbor Program
Part of what makes working in the homebuilding industry so special is the chance to positively impact people’s lives. Aside from building high-quality, comfortable living spaces for families to thrive in, we value any chance to help improve our community.
In fact, making a difference in the community is a big part of who we are at Weaver Homes, especially when it comes to families and children. Over the years, the Weaver team has supported many charities and philanthropic causes in our community.
Now, we are giving our homeowners the opportunity to help, too! We’re spotlighting four of the charities we love and support. Every homeowner will be able to select one of these charities, and then at closing, we’ll donate $100 in their names to the charity they’ve chosen.
Learn a little more about our chosen charities:
Hosanna Industries is a faith-rooted, non-profit mission whose work involves a variety of charitable initiatives. Mission workers at Hosanna Industries build and repair homes for needy households; mobilize relief workers to areas of disaster; teach and lead workshops in art and spirituality; train young people in construction skills; and lead volunteers of all ages.
Inspired Hearts and Hands (IH2) started in 2012 as a group of inspired and compassionate friends and family who teamed up to provide what they call the “Necessary Extras”. From food drives and meal baskets to grocery cards and back-to-school basics, together they serve Allegheny and Butler families who are designated as financially and circumstantially disadvantaged.
The Lighthouse Foundation is a Christian outreach organization addressing the needs of the impoverished in northern Allegheny and Butler Counties. The foundation operates the largest food pantry in Butler County and provides transitional and interim housing for young adults, single parents, and families in the area. They promote self-sufficiency through job training, financial literacy, cooking classes, and connections to reliable vehicles.
The mission of the Mars Area Public Library is to inform, educate, entertain, and culturally enrich by providing books, library materials, facilities, and professional services for everyone in our area. With generous support, the library is able to provide new and relevant materials, technology, computer access, and free events for all ages and interests in a growing community, with ever-changing needs.
Weaver Homes is always proud of the work that we do for our homeowners, as well as the chance to impact the community at large. For more information on our homes and communities, or to become a part of our Weaver Homes family, please visit our website, or give us a call at 724-248-1729.
